Last year I said, “Last year was nice and all, but […] if part of the goal is to practise then next time I should do something more in line with my typical approach.” The same held true this year, so this time I went for full colour and abandoned any remaining semblance of ‘Inktober’ beyond lifting the prompts. Except I didn’t really have time for daily drawings and haven’t generally enjoyed the experience of finding something for prompts that don’t inspire, so this time I decided from the outset that if I didn’t have time or …
Last year was nice and all, but by the end of it I thought, this is nothing like what I ‘usually’ (implies free time) do; if part of the goal is to practise then next time I should do something more in line with my typical approach. So, more about shapes and shading than lines and stark contrast.

Not the best result. It’s alright, I suppose, but not really what I was aiming for, whatever that might have been.
That metal truss thing around the fuel/chemical storage tanks definitely took up a big chunk of time.
Some small paintings, about 80 mm each side. Cute pieces of canvas conducive to painting something relatively quick and simple.
Also, silhouettes are cheating.
The idea is solid but the execution is lacking. Not least because you have to be deeply in The Know to have any hope of understanding anything. Prime contender for some future rework.
