2024 artober roundup

Last year I said, “Last year was nice and all, but […] if part of the goal is to practise then next time I should do something more in line with my typical approach.” The same held true this year, so this time I went for full colour and abandoned any remaining semblance of ‘Inktober’ beyond lifting the prompts. Carboniferous kōan

Panelled comic showing a Calamites plant falling to the ground in a dense swamp or rainforest, then finally a heavy industrial scene. The panels are captioned, “If a tree falls in a Carboniferous forest, and nothing is around to decompose it, does it make an impact?”

The idea is solid but the execution is lacking. Not least because you have to be deeply in The Know to have any hope of understanding anything. Prime contender for some future rework.
