Rhamphorhynchus’s oceanside meal

Rhamphorhynchus dries off after snatching a catch by the sea

Coloured and shaded remaster of Inktober 2022 #17, ‘Salty’. In part because I like Rhamphorhynchus. The existence of a fish might be more obvious in this rendition, but I must confess to performing zero palaeontological research into appropriate ichthyans.

Strictly speaking a pelagic pterosaur like Rhamphorhynchus would probably not get so drenched in its natual habitat, in a manner resembling that by which a duck doesn’t, but whatever as it’s much too late for that now. You should have complained during or shortly before the evening of 17 October 2022.
